Whistler Olympic Plaza
Home to the popular Olympic Rings (where everyone has their photo taken), Whistler Olympic Plaza, located in the heart of Whistler Village, served as the site of the Whistler Medals ceremonies. “The Plaza” offers visitors a central place to meet up, enjoy spectacular views of Whistler Valley, shop, dine, and catch a concert in summer, or ice skate and toboggan in winter.
Whistler Olympic Park
The site of the 2010 Nordic events, Whistler Olympic Park offers self-guided recreational cross country skiing, tobogganing and snowshoeing, along with lessons and programs in skate skiing, ski jumping and biathlon.
Whistler Creekside
The former alpine events venue, Whistler Creekside is one of Whistler Blackcomb’s best kept secrets, where the Creekside Gondola provides access to Whistler Mountain, the Whistler Mountain Bike Park, and the Valley Trail System. A good choice for families and those seeking more secluded Whistler Accommodations, Creekside has a separate base area with its own shops, restaurants, grocery store, ski school and rental shop; and is just a 5 minute drive from the main village.
Whistler Sliding Centre
Located above Whistler Village on the side of Blackcomb Mountain, the Whistler Sliding Center is a world-class bobsleigh, luge and skeleton facility. Still an active training and competition site, it is the only place in Canada where visitors can experience the thrill of sliding down the world’s fastest ice track, in a passenger bobsleigh manned by a professional bobsleigh pilot (in summer and winter), or solo on a skeleton sled (in winter).
Whistler Village
The hub of Whistler, this compact chalet-style pedestrian-only village at the base of the Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, is where it all begins. Visitors can conveniently walk between shops, restaurants, spas, and arts and cultural events, as well as skiing, hiking, and biking.
